Webflow Toolkit

I’ve been building with Webflow for 12 years now, and over that time I’ve tried tons of frameworks and tools. Here’s what I’m using today.

Lumos

The best framework for Webflow projects, Lumos is designed with efficiency, scalability, and accessibility at its core. It takes some getting used to, but speeds up your workflow once you get the hang of it.

Lumos allows me to build freely or component-first depending on the project requirements.

Client-First

Finsweet’s framework is widely adopted in the Webflow space, which is why I still use it. Simple to understand and easy to scale. It pairs well with creating components inside Webflow, so marketing teams can use it confidently.

Slater App

A code editor built for Webflow, with script hosting and an AI assistant built in. When it comes to building interactions and motion, I prefer to write my own instead of using Webflow interactions. This keeps my websites performant and allows for more control over the codebase.

Claude

My driver for speeding up code requirements. I’ve trained Claude and found/made skills tailored to my workflow. From exploring concepts, to writing content to fixing bugs I use Claude daily. The Webflow MCP is also something I’ve been dipping my toes into lately, although it isn’t powerful enough yet.

So far, I haven’t handed the reins over to AI for design. That’s my jam, my pride, my creative muse.

Osmo Supply

Dennis and Ilja are producing some of the best resources out there for creative developers, all of which are very easy to implement into Webflow. There are resources I put into every project and their Slack community is top-notch.

Honourable Mentions

Here are a few smaller tools I use on most projects.

  • GSAP: animation library
  • Barba JS: page transition library
  • Bunny CDN: video hosting
  • BYQ: copy/paste skeleton components
  • Osmo SVG Import: import SVGs as editable DOM elements
  • Clippy: simple, reliable clip-path generator
  • N8n: integrations and automations

Got a tool you can’t live without? Hit me up on Instagram, I’m always looking for cool ones to try.
